Biting the Bullet ...

by jemima_puddleduck @ 2007-01-27 - 18:39:56

I still havent had a meeting with the Cambridge Diet counsellor and worried that my motivation to do something with run out, I had to start. So I am giving slim fast a go at the moment, two shakes and one meal, but no snacks ! I dont understand how you can lose weight if you follow the slim fast plan to the letter as it seems too many calories ?

Anyway, Day 1, has been good so far. I had a shake for breakfast and a shake for lunch and am about to put something on for dinner. I have had a terrible headache all day and have been running to the loo non stop. Everytime I have a drink I need a wee two minutes later. I had a cup of coffee at my mums house and had to pee three times in one hour ! But I have only just started to get hungry and I know that I need something to eat.

My mum had an enormous bar of chocolate in her fridge and I managed to not even smell a bit ! So feeling proud of myself.

Hopefully tomorrow will be just as good !

i fiddled about with slimfast before i started on cambridge. it is nowhere near as good, i think slimfast has too many carbs and i felt hungry, i hardly ever feel hungry with cambridge. drinking plenty of water is really important, don't give up because you keep going to the loo. just drink more. and try to wait before you go - your bladder will stretch and you will be able to wait longer. it's really important, especially for women, and it will also help prevent incontinence when you are older. its a common misconception that people think they should drink less to stop going to the loo - the opposite is true, bladders are like balloons - they stretch the more they are used.

I had a read of the nutritional info on the back of the cans of the slimfast and noticed that they have a lot of carbs.

Shall persist with the water/loo thing! I've always been awful for toilet trips and when dieting Im twice as bad!
